General Maintenance Worker Jobs in Big Bear Lake, CA at Sleepy Forest Resort
Sleepy Forest Resort is in walking distance to Lake and Ski resort. We manage 30 cabins, over one acre of forest. As a boutique hotel in the Big Bear mountain, over the past 45 years, We are the romantic places in nature for outdoor wedding venue and honeymoon destination.
Your Day to Day
Perform inspections all available guest rooms in accordance with the property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
Repair for wall heaters, water heater, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, door locks. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including touch-up painting, touch-up furniture ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present in the room and in working order, replacing light fixtures, repairing grout and caulking, tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor. Collaborate with contractor for major repairs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Specialized or technical training.
Skills: Required skills will include knowledge of wall heater, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, doors, and basic construction methods.
Related Work Experience: More than 1 year related work experience.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Handling objects, products and computer equipment
- Use a keyboard or phone to operate maintenance software, property management and reservations systems, etc.
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.
- Intermediate math skills are used frequently.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating and training abilities are often used.
What We Offer
The hourly pay range for this role is $23 to $30. This jobs to be performed in Big Bear Lake, California. This is a full-time in position. Work hours is usually from 11 am to 7 pm. Must to be available work in weekends and holidays.
Qualified employee might take one week vacation every month, and take vacation up to 2 months during off-season. Discounted employee housing is available only for qualified candidates. Hotel discounts are available for your family and friends.
