The Shredder/Pick Line Laborer maintains a safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant worksite. This position supports shredder operations by identifying and sorting materials to ensure quality control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in full compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions, hazards, or equipment issues to supervisory staff.
- Sort and remove prohibited or non-metal materials (e.g., garbage, copper, electric motors) from the picking line to maintain product quality and protect processing equipment.
- Demonstrate understanding of shredder operations and the material flow process to support smooth, safe, and efficient output.
- Ensure equipment is kept clean, safe, and in proper working order when assigned to operate.
- Assist with end-of-shift cleanup and general site organization to reduce hazards and improve workflow.
- Support other team members and promote a collaborative safety-first environment.
- Cross-train on other roles.
- Perform all additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Work Environment
This role is performed in an industrial recycling environment and may require exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. PPE will be provided and must be worn at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
