A sustainable logistics and infrastructure company with operations across Africa is seeking aFinancial Managerto join their team in Johannesburg.
This role offers aunique opportunityto contribute to an end-to-end green logistics function that supports Africa’s sustainable development goals. TheFinancial Managerwill be instrumental in driving the financial strategy and supporting the company’s mission to deliver environmentally responsible solutions across the continent.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the company’s general ledger, payables, receivables, and inventory, ensuring all accounting policies and processes are current and aligned with industry best practices.
Lead the budgeting process, manage financial projects, and control operational expenses, upholding strict financial and internal controls to support the company’s financial health.
Prepare accurate weekly and monthly financial reports, coordinate statutory accounts, and ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory regulations in all financial reporting.
Build and manage relationships with bankers and financial stakeholders, fosteringeffective communicationandcollaboration.
Monitor receivables, oversee fixed asset management, and support audit activities by providing thorough documentation and analysis.
Contribute to the overall success of the company and the group by undertaking special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller or CFO.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma with Accounting or Finance as a major.
Professional certification in Accounting and Finance from a recognised professional body (CGMA, AGA(SA) etc.)
At least two years of experience in a managerial role within the commercial sector.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax principles is preferred.
Salary:
R55k – R60k / month CTC
