Position: Field Service Technician (Mpumalanga and Northwest)
Location: Boksburg
Ensures health and safety protocols are maintained.
Testing of all MV and LV related components and equipment.
Accurate capturing of test results.
Programme and operate sophisticated testing instruments and interpret the results.
Compare testing results with OEM specifications.
Do fine detailed adjustments to the equipment when possible.
Capture test results accurately in detail.
Do installation of new and old switch gear to OEM specifications.
Do fault finding on existing equipment with and without schematic diagrams.
Replace faulty components in circuit breakers and control switch gear.
Fulfil standby duties.
Operate and use all kind of power tools (grinders, drills, jigsaw to precession)
Use all kind of hand tools.
Assist supervisor on site with any relevant task.
Oversee work done by assistants.
Minimum requirements:
Trade Test or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Qualified Electrician.
Min 3 years post apprenticeship experience within servicing, testing of Medium Voltage Switchgear.
Protection knowledge will be added benefit.
