Job Summary
JTwo Dlv Corp is an Independent Fedex Ground Contractor seeking an experienced and professional Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will load and unload packages in a fast paced environment. You will plan the most efficient route, to ensure that packages are delivered in a timely manner, Drivers are also required to perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has experience driving trucks and makes safety a number one priority. We require a minimum of 5 days of work and 6 days during peak Season.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle
- Deliver and pick up packages on an assigned route
- Load, organize, and properly handle packages
- Complete all assigned deliveries and pickup stops
- Scan every package accurately using the provided scanner
- Follow customer delivery instructions
- Obtain required signatures and complete proper delivery documentation
- Take clear and accurate delivery photos (PPOD)
- Properly code all packages that cannot be delivered
- Return all undelivered packages to the station with the correct status
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures
- Wear your seat belt and operate the vehicle safely at all times
- No cellphone use while driving
- Perform basic pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and report problems
- Maintain a professional appearance and wear required uniform/ID
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Report accidents, injuries, damaged packages, or other issues immediately
- Be dependable, punctual, and ready to work your scheduled days
- Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Truck Driver is preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Safe Driving Record
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be able to pass required Background Screening and Drug test
- Understanding of all relevant truck driving laws and regulations
- Clean driving record
- Willingness to travel regularly and drive long distances
