Overview
Join our dynamic facilities team as a Facility Technician, where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our operational environment. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work across various maintenance disciplines, ensuring our facilities operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. As a key contributor, you’ll be empowered to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and support continuous improvement initiatives that keep our operations running at peak performance. Work Schedule: 1st Shift (8:00am – 4:30pm). This position is eligible for overtime with flexibility required to work some weekends required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform repairs and installations involving welding, residential painting, and other trades to maintain facility standards.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems to support manufacturing processes and facility operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose problems and implement solutions efficiently.
Skills
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and operate diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC systems, conveyor belts, pumps, and other facility equipment.
- Proficiency in welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and programming.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Excellent customer service skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Supervising experience in maintenance or facilities roles is a plus for leadership responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
