Experienced Panel Saw / Beam Saw Operator
Alternative Closets is seeking an experienced Panel Saw / Beam Saw Operator to join our high-production cabinet and closet manufacturing shop.
This is a fast-paced production environment, and we are looking for someone who is dependable, productive, organized, and experienced working with sheet goods used in cabinetry, closet systems, or similar millwork manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Operate a vertical panel saw and beam saw
- Cut melamine, plywood, and other sheet materials accurately and efficiently
- Read cut lists, measurements, and production paperwork
- Maintain proper sizing and accuracy throughout production
- Organize and identify cut parts for the next stages of manufacturing
- Inspect material for defects or damage before and during cutting
- Minimize material waste and follow established cutting procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work efficiently to meet daily production requirements
- Coordinate with other members of the cutting and production departments
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a panel saw, beam saw, or similar production cutting equipment
- Experience in cabinet, closet, millwork, furniture, or related manufacturing strongly preferred
- Ability to accurately read measurements and cut lists
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced production shop
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable and able to work as part of a production team
- Ability to safely lift and handle heavy sheets and manufactured components
- Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply:
- Closet manufacturing
- Cabinet manufacturing
- Architectural millwork
- Melamine fabrication
- CNC or woodworking machinery
- Production woodworking
- Sheet-good processing
We are looking for an experienced operator who understands that accuracy, productivity, material handling, and organization are all essential in a high-production shop.
Job Type: Full-time
Experience: Panel saw, beam saw, cabinet manufacturing, closet manufacturing, or related production experience preferred.
Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
