Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their concerns, and accurately identify their vehicle needs.
- Explain repair recommendations clearly and confidently, utilizing estimating software and mechanical knowledge.
- Write detailed service orders and estimates, ensuring all necessary repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repairs are documented precisely.
- Upsell additional services that enhance vehicle safety and performance while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair status, costs, and completion times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper records of all service sales.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems to assess repair needs thoroughly.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by following up post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster loyalty.
- Stay current with dealership policies, automotive repair procedures, and industry best practices to provide expert guidance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a repair facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs (including transmissions, brakes, suspension), and vehicle maintenance procedures. is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling services ethically while maintaining customer trust.
- Experience working with service technicians on repairs such as oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts, collision repairs, etc.
- Valid driver’s license with a reasonably clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles confidently.
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes along with sales skills to promote additional services effectively.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $52,000.00 – $62,400.00 per year
