This full time position provides hands-on experience while building the skills needed to advance into a full service automotive technician position. Responsibilities include performing various types of daily automotive work, maintain a clean and safe work environment, assist with shop operations, support senior technicians while developing skills, help with facility maintenance and equipment, assist with scheduling appointments, ordering parts, and preparing customer work invoices.
We are looking for an individual with a high school diploma or equivalent, or automotive technician graduate, basic mechanical aptitude or with experience, strong work ethic and willingness to learn, ability to follow instructions, good communication and customer service skills, basic computer and internet skills, time management skills, ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 60 pounds, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license with ability to obtain Maine inspection license, and ability to purchase tools or have tools currently.
