Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrician to join our team at Grootvlei Hatchery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment to ensure smooth and uninterrupted hatchery and farm operations. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead electrical engineering projects, including design, implementation, and maintenance.
Develop and oversee electrical engineering strategies and solutions.
Manage electrical engineering staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
Ensure compliance with electrical standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with other engineering teams and departments to achieve project goals.
Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring cost-effective and timely completion.
Review and analyze performance data to guide engineering decisions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma.
Wireman’s license.
Experience in LPC’s.
Minimum of 5 years work experience.
Able to work under pressure.
Willing to work after hours.
Previous experience in hatchery environment is preferred but not limited to.
Valid Code 8 driver’s license is required.
Own transport.
