Overview
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar PV Draughtsman to join our client’s team in Cape Town.
As a Solar PV Draughtsman, you will work with our engineering team to create detailed drawings based on their designs. This involves drawing civil and mechanical parts for various projects, and knowledge of electrical systems would be helpful. Your tasks will include designing inverter stations, solar module layouts, and cable routing.
You will also help the engineering team with designing renewable energy systems and then manage those designs. It’s important to stay current with drafting tools and work efficiently.
Responsibilities
Use AutoCAD design software to create 2D and 3D technical drawings.
Liaise with engineers to gather requirements for the designs.
Calculate dimensions and material requirements.
Edit technical draughts based on the recommendations of project engineers.
Requirements
Hold a minimum of an N4/N5 Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice (MDDOP) National Certificate or equivalent.
Have a Grade 12 or Technical N3 Matric Certificate.
Have at least 2 years of experience as a draughts person/designer or in a related professional role.
Create detailed designs using AutoCAD.
Work on projects across different disciplines.
Collaborate with multiple engineers on various projects simultaneously.
Prepare and review rough sketches with the engineering team.
Communicate clearly both in writing and verbally.
Pay strong attention to detail.
