Position: Senior Geometric Design Engineer / Technologist
Overview
A leading multi-disciplinary consulting company in Cape Town is looking for a / to join their team!
Requirements:
Proficient in Civil Designer, AutoCAD and Civil3D design software
Minimum of 8 years specific roads design experience is a pre-requisite
Preferably registered with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng
Responsibilities:
Highly competent in geometric design of roads and drawing production standards of national and provincial authorities
Extensive experience in complex road projects involving freeway interchange design, major provincial roads, urban arterial roads, dual carriageways, major intersections, roundabouts, road marking, drainage etc.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, requiring co-ordination between discipline interfaces, such as, geotechnical, structures, materials, transportation, environmental etc
Produce 3D visualization of road designs
Preparation of road infrastructure design reports
Preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, quantities, and cost estimates
Experience with COLTO, COTO & general conditions of contract would be advantageous
