VERY busy deli in New Fairfield, CT Only local applicants will be considered

Must work at least one weekend day
Responsibilities of a Deli Clerk/Delicatessen:
- Educate customers on menu items, daily specials and Boar’s Head products
- Take orders via in-person/phone in a timely manner and transmit to kitchen staff
- Deli preparation (i.e. make sandwiches, fill salads, chop ingredients)
- Operate deli slicers for cold cuts
- Replenish and stock service stations and display case
- Sanitize and neaten assigned work areas (coffee bar, serving counter, floor, and deli cases)
- Comply with the dress/ health code
Qualifications and Requirements of a Deli Clerk/Delicatessen:
- 1+ years of previous deli/ grocery store experience
- Posses superior communication skills with customers and staff
- Ability to work efficiently in what can be a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be a ‘team player’ that promotes a positive work environment
- Prompt and reliable work ethic
- must live locally- in the New Fairfield area
- must be able to work one weekend day
