Position: Crew Chief Safairoperations
We are seeking a qualified Crew Chief to join our team at Safair (Pty) Ltd.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that line maintenance is conducted efficiently and effectively, adhering to quality standards;
Conduct regular inspections to guarantee the technical maintenance meets required standards;
Provide hands-on training to the Technical team, enhancing their skills and expertise;
Offer guidance on fault detection and rectification procedures;
Share knowledge and best practices regarding aircraft maintenance during the maintenance contract period;
Oversee scheduled A checks and weekly service checks to ensure timely completion;
Maintain oversight of the quality of work performed by the team;
Monitor and manage the ageing process progress;
Review and approve all necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with quality inspection regulations;
Balance shift rostering to optimize available manpower and workload requirements;
Supervise the team, evaluating performance and providing feedback;
Act as a resource, coach, and mentor to support team members;
Establish team goals to align with the company’s overall objectives;
Foster a productive team environment, recognizing and rewarding success;
Address barriers that impede efficiency or effectiveness;
Liaise with third-party service providers for enhanced collaboration.
