Job Summary:

The Count Team Supervisor oversees the functions of the drop team process and to provide professional supervision and direction to the count team personnel ensuring that all functions are performed within the guidelines of the Quapaw Casino policies and procedures, departmental policies, and Internal Control Standards and objectives.

DUTIES And Responsibilities

· Must ensure the completion of the casino cash collection (drop) and that company assets are secure during the drop process.

· Ensure that all currency and tickets are properly counted and recorded, and that all wraps and weighs are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

· Provide Accounting/Income Audit with all appropriate daily reports.

· Assist Management in determining how to best schedule and perform the Casino Drop.

· Must adhere to pre-established procedures and guidelines ensuring strict compliance by Count Team personnel with departmental operational policies and procedures.

· Responsible for, timecard approvals, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, terminations, and enforcing Quapaw Casino and departmental policies/procedures.

· Prepare all schedules to ensure shifts are adequately staffed, arranging for staff rotations and breaks, locating substitute employees as necessary, and covering shifts when needed.

· Identifies, prioritizes, and resolves problems which occur within the department.

· Responsible for promptly addressing employee issues, concerns, or complaints as they arise; promptly address workplace issues in accordance with established policies.

· Must demonstrate good judgment and sound decisions when resolving problems, monitoring, documenting, and counseling subordinates.

· Must properly inform and communicate with the Cage Manager and department personnel any pertinent information in a timely manner.

· Attends department meetings as necessary to provide updates and direction.

· Order departmental supplies and be knowledgeable in placing purchase requisitions through RedRock.

· Attend all necessary training and departmental meetings as required.

· Maintains a professional work environment with casino guest, managers, vendors, and staff.

· Meets attendance guidelines of the job, adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

· Must uphold a high degree of confidentiality at all times of all customer transactions or personnel issues.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon employment.

· High school diploma or its equivalent required.

· Prior pull and/or count room experience is preferred.

· Previous cash handling, auditing, or accounting experience is required.

· Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.

· Must possess manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine, personal computers, copier, etc.

· Must have a working knowledge or ability to possess a working knowledge of the Quapaw Casino Employee Handbook, gaming regulations, departmental internal controls, and proper reporting procedures and confidentiality.

· Must possess excellent communication skills.

· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

· Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

· Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with others.

· Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the QNGA.

· Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

· Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.

· Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.

Pay: $37,400.00 – $52,000.00 per year
