Cook Jobs in Decorah, IA at The Highlands
Join The Highlands and Help Revolutionize the Aging Experience! As a Cook, you will:
- Prepare meals for more than 70 residents.
- Take meal orders and serve meals in a timely and friendly manner.
- Serve beverages to residents.
- Assist with meal service and dining room clean-up.
- Complete daily cleaning duties, including washing dishes and clearing tables.
- Follow food service, sanitation, and facility guidelines.
- Complete required training to meet facility regulations.
- Work as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented Dining Services department.
Open Shifts Available:
- Full-Time Day Shift (5:30am – 2:00pm), with weekend work
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform required lifting and carrying duties and safely handle cleaning chemicals.
- Demonstrated institutional and quantity food preparation and service experience
- Completion of Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training will be required upon hire.
