Manufacturing Operator
Join our manufacturing team in Boksburg as a Manufacturing Operator and become part of a dynamic production environment. You'll operate advanced machinery to manufacture mining and construction conical tools while maintaining our high quality standards. Your work directly impacts our ability to meet scheduled output and deliver excellence to our global customers. You'll inspect parts for conformity, maintain equipment to minimize scrap, and work within ISO documentation standards. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative, safety-focused manufacturing setting.
Key Job Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Perform pre-operation checks for machines. Perform safety inspections required for individual machines and associated equipment
- Perform operations on braze line, shot blast machine and other equipment
- In process QC inspection checks, final inspection
- Load and unload trucks
- Bring necessary components, materials and supplies to production line when requested
- Fill in for absent operators
- Process shop production orders to meet established due dates
- Perform cycle counts and inventory management of components
- Participate in lean events and utilize lean processes in daily duties
- Perform daily required TPM on associated equipment
- Perform daily 5S activities for work area
- Perform daily activities associated with gathering and posting established metrics
- Accurate and timely recording of required data
- Engage in safety inspections, meetings, walkdowns, risk assessments and identification, external contractor observations, internal job observations, find and fix
- Excellent teamwork, honesty, and reliability in all your work and ability to report for any given shift on time
Knowledge And Experience Requirements
- High school, or general equivalence diploma
- Forklift Operators Licence
- The ability to understand written and oral instructions and be able to communicate with supervisors and co workers
