Job description
Buttercooky Bakery of Floral Park is seeking an experienced cake/Fondant decorator.
Cake Decorator Position: The cake decorator’s main responsibility is to help fill, ice, design and decorate store size/custom cakes(including tiered celebration/wedding cakes) covered in both buttercream/whipped cream Culinary school training is a plus, but not necessary. WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS ARE A MUST IN THIS INDUSTRY
Must work with Fondant, Buttercream & Whipped Cream Cakes
The ideal candidate will:
– Have well developed artistic talents that include a skilled sense of composition, balance and design.
– Have a great eye for color and the ability to accurately recreate a color from a swatch..
– Be able to create designs with or without reference materials.
– Have a positive, high energy, friendly, enthusiastic, team-oriented attitude.
– Be professional, reliable, organized and efficient, with excellent time management skills.
– Be able to handle high pressure and volume, and work quickly. Be able to follow instructions and direction, and have excellent communication skills.
Compensation will be based on experience but is highly competitive.
