Well-established company based in East London is seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing metal structures, boilers and pressure vessels.
Requirements:
Must be trade tested as a Boiler Maker
Must have at least 3–5 years post-trade experience in heavy industry or manufacturing
Must be proficient in ARC, MIG and TIG welding
Must be physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights
Must be able to conduct maintenance, repairs and inspections on boilers and related equipment
Must be able to use welding, cutting, and shaping techniques to form and join metal parts
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications
Must be able to perform planned maintenance, shutdown work and repairs on plant equipment
Must be able to conduct inspections, fault-finding and quality checks on fabricated items
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Must have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of business
Monitor compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace
