Boat Rigger Helper / Marine Workshop Assistant Jobs in Beaufort, NC at Carolina yachts
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our small team as a Boat Rigger Helper / Marine Workshop Assistant.
This is a hands-on position working with boat parts, tools and equipment. Previous experience is helpful but not required—we are willing to train someone who has a good attitude, strong work ethic and wants to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist the rigging department with daily projects
- Cut, drill, bolt and assemble boat parts and sub-assemblies
- Use basic hand, power and carpentry tools
- Assist with general boat assembly and workshop projects
- Keep tools and work areas clean, safe and organized
- Help other team members as needed
- Follow instructions and workplace safety procedures
Qualifications
- Dependable and punctual—must be ready to work at 6:00 AM
- Comfortable working with your hands
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Marine, boat building, construction, carpentry, mechanical or rigging experience is a plus
- Drug-free workplace; pre-employment drug screening required
Compensation
$12–$17/hour, based on experience and skill level.
