Position: Band Leader Other
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage a team of musicians, including conducting auditions, rehearsals, and performance reviews
– Collaborate with the Entertainment Director to create engaging and diverse musical shows for guests onboard the cruise ship
– Ensure the band is well-rehearsed and prepared for all performances
– Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues
– Oversee the scheduling and coordination of performances to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
– Manage and maintain the band’s equipment and instruments
– Act as a liaison between the band and other departments, such as guest services and technical crew
– Uphold safety and emergency procedures at all times
Requirements:
– Minimum of 5 years of experience as a band leader or music director in a professional setting
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Extensive knowledge of various music genres and ability to create diverse and engaging performances
– Ability to read sheet music and arrange music for various instruments
– Excellent time management and organizational skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing schedules and environments
– Experience performing in a cruise ship or similar setting is a plus
