Bakery Clerk Jobs in Newburyport, MA at Plume Café
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and outgoing Bakery Clerk to join our team in downtown Newburyport.

The Schedule
Full-time — 5 days per week
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Days off: Tuesday & Wednesday
Because we are a busy weekend bakery, weekend availability is required.
What you’ll do
- Greet customers and provide warm, friendly service
- Help customers choose from our pastries, breads, sandwiches, and other offerings
- Package and present pastries beautifully
- Take orders and operate the POS system
- Prepare sandwiches and simple food items
- Restock the display case and retail areas
- Keep the bakery clean, organized, and welcoming
- Help with opening and closing duties
- Work closely with the bakery team to keep service running smoothly
What we’re looking for
- Friendly, positive, and comfortable talking with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Organized and able to multitask during busy periods
- Someone who takes pride in presentation and cleanliness
- Previous café, bakery, restaurant, or retail experience is a plus, but not required
- Weekend availability is a must
- Able to commit to the 5-day schedule, 7 AM–3 PM
- Looking for someone interested in staying with us long-term
