Overview
CHIBOO Bakery is looking to grow our pastry team in Reston, VA. We are a small but agile team, providing thousands of handcrafted gourmet French macarons each month for our small retail shop, catering orders and pop-up events around the DMV. We pride ourselves in using premium ingredients, highlighting local sources from our farmer friends, and making unique flavors sustainably. Our team is looking for passionate and dedicated team platers who are eager to learn and grow rapidly with us!
Duties
– Accurately measure, weight and prep ingredients
– Ensure all food preparation is conducted in accordance with food safety standards.
– Package baked goods for sale while maintaining quality and presentation.
– Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
– Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and report any shortages.
Skills
– Knowledge and understanding of piping techniques and working with meringue
– Ability to work efficiently independently while maintaining attention to detail.
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
– A creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes or improve existing ones.
This is a part-time position with flexible shifts on MONDAYS-FRIDAYS during the day. Option to extend to a full-time position. Professional kitchen experience preferred but not necessary. Pay commensurate on candidate’s qualification. Overtime eligible during busy seasons in Fall and the Holidays.
