Baker – Butchers & Bakers (Farmington, CT)
Pay: $18–$22 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: Approximately 7:00 AM–2:00/3:00 PM, 40 hours per week
Butchers & Bakers is looking for a dependable, experienced Baker to join our team. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and can consistently produce high-quality baked goods.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards
- Measure, mix, portion, shape, and prepare ingredients and doughs
- Follow established recipes while maintaining consistency in taste, appearance, and portioning
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and finished product quality
- Complete daily prep and production based on restaurant needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery/workstation
- Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients and finished products
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work efficiently with the culinary team to ensure products are ready for service
What We’re Looking For
- Previous professional baking or pastry experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to follow recipes and production standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Morning availability required
- Availability to work approximately 7:00 AM–2:00/3:00 PM, 40 hours per week
Compensation
$18–$22 per hour, based on experience.
