Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our organization’s efforts in maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. In this role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that promote workplace safety, environmental management, and regulatory compliance across manufacturing operations. Your expertise will ensure adherence to OSHA standards, EPA regulations, hazardous materials handling protocols, and workers’ compensation laws. Duties
- Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the Safety Management System.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and evaluations across flight operations, maintenance, and ground support.
- Lead or support incident and accident investigations, including serving as accident scene commander when required.
- Perform hazard identification, risk analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports, perform root‑cause analyses, and track follow‑up actions.
- Monitor compliance with FAA regulations, ICAO standards, and internal safety policies.
- Maintain and analyze safety data, identify trends, and develop recommendations for safety enhancements.
- Support safety training initiatives, including SMS, human factors, emergency response, and regulatory topics.
- Participate in safety committees, operational reviews, and emergency response exercises.
- Assist with development and execution of emergency response plans and drills.
- Promote a positive, proactive safety culture across all departments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in U.S. Army aviation safety, flight operations, maintenance, or related discipline.
- Direct experience conducting accident investigations and performing duties as accident scene commander.
- Solid understanding of FAA regulations and aviation safety principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across operational departments and encourage hazard reporting.
- Experience using safety or quality management databases/software.
Preferred Qualifications
- U.S. Army UH-60 pilot rated
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, safety, or related field.
- Familiarity with ISO 9100 / ISO 9110 quality management standards.
- Experience working with government flight contracts (DCMA).
- Additional safety or quality certifications (ASAP, OSHA, IS‑BAO, ASQ, etc.).
- Prior experience with FAA Part 91, Part 135, Part 145 operations .
Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
