Overview
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, systems, and grounds. This role is ideal for someone with general trade skills who can troubleshoot problems, complete work orders, and help keep facilities safe and operating efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and emergency maintenance on buildings and equipment.
- Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and order needed supplies.
- Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, roofs, drains, and related equipment.
- Maintain lighting systems and complete basic electrical-related maintenance tasks.
- Perform general carpentry, welding, furniture assembly, painting, and locksmith tasks as needed.
- Maintain facility grounds, including sweeping, leaf blowing, and snow removal.
- Document maintenance and repair work as required.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and follow all safety procedures.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of related maintenance experience and/or training required.
- General trade skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, or cooling preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions, complete work orders, and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use a work order system and Microsoft Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to perform hands-on maintenance work safely in a variety of facility and outdoor conditions.
