Decorative Panel manufacturer seeks a CADÂ designer.
 Must have a sound understanding of construction industry and processes required to meet the needs of engineers and contractors.
Will be required to model in Inventor or Sheet works (SolidWorks) so that designs and BOM’s integrate with the company’s current fabrication methods and quoting processes.
 Applicant must have a good understanding of sheet metal fabrication, specifically in relation to the Construction industry. A further understanding of general Assembly philosophy and installations for Aluminium and Steel structures, facades, screens and ACM applications is part of the requirement.
Incumbent must be able to configure the Inventor or Sheetworks workspace in alignment with best practices for optimal synchronization between Quotation, BOM configuration and Manufacturing – in terms of Application and Modelling.
 A good understanding of mount configurations, structural integrity and embedded constraints regarding weight, leverages, termination and access, is required.
 All modeled assemblies’ components are to be tested to verify functionality and aesthetics and that the assembly is successful for all parts and manufacture.
Any sheet metal fabrication experience (CNC Cutting, Nesting, Bending and Punching) will be a plus
