Assistant Planner – Jet Jobs in Gauteng at The Foschini Group
Key Responsibilities:
Understand the property plan, its impact on your functional area, and communicate to team
Ensure that all location plans within functional area are aligned to the master location plan, driven by the property plan
Maintain a 12-month rolling location forecast, and drive appropriate measures to improve forecast accuracy
Collaborate with Product Planning peers to ensure that location forecasts and product forecasts are aligned
Develop and implement methodologies to enhance product availability through managing store segmentation, width and depth and space planning effectively
Develop and implement location strategies
Monitor store stock levels, product performance and react accordingly to achieve a balanced assortment in each store
Conduct ongoing research of local stores and markets, trends, competitor activities to drive innovation and best practice methodologies to create and maintain competitive advantage
Use appropriate tools and systems to finalise and implement agreed alocation plans
Analyse and evaluate past store / product performance and consider trends, supplier lead times, logistic lead times and store profiles and communicate insights to product planning to influence future buying patterns / plans
Ensure teams are monitoring critical path and supply lead times for replenishment lines
Qualifications and Experience:
A certificate or diploma in Business administration or equivalent or at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Location Planning experience would be advantageous
Skills:
A high degree of numeracy and an analytical, detailed, and strategic approach to work
Computer literacy in Excel, Power Point and Outlook
Strong business acumen and merchant thinking
Good organisational and interpersonal skills
Proven decision-making ability
