Accounting Claims Specialist
Location: Columbus, OH / Reynoldsburg, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | 35 hours/week
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Claims Specialist to review, verify, research, and process claims and related financial documentation. The ideal candidate will have recent accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
- Examine, review, verify, and process claims.
- Review documentation and collect information to determine claim validity.
- Analyze reports, forms, and supporting documents.
- Research and process complex claims.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and procedures.
- Communicate professionally with claimants and other parties.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Serve as a primary contact for incoming inquiries.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of recent accounting experience required.
- Some college education required.
- Strong computer skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage detailed information.
Schedule & Training
- Monday–Friday, day shift.
- 35 hours per week.
- Schedule will be provided at the start of the assignment.
- Approximately 4–6 weeks of paid training.
- Candidates must be able to travel to Columbus and/or Reynoldsburg, Ohio for training and work.
- No weekend or holiday work.
Background & Screening
Selected candidates will be required to complete applicable background and drug screening before starting the assignment.
