Well established Pump company situated in the JHB North area seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to maintain the Workshop and Office, manage staff, order consumables and job equipment.
The Workshop Manager is also responsible for designing jobs and providing quotations; the ability to work on AutoCAD would be an advantage.
Ensure all equipment is in good working order and keep all certificates up to date.
Maintain vehicles.
Build pump sets while training others to do this. Hands-on, able to do the job but mostly supervise others to achieve job completion.
Liaise with sales staff regarding pump builds.
Keep a build register for QCP documents.
Place orders with suppliers.
Assist branches with drawings and quotations on base plates. Ensure quality control.
Site commissioning and repair work.
Ensure workshops in Durban, Cape Town, and Rustenburg are up to standard for their purpose.
Open the workshop in the morning.
Monitor drivers and stores staff.
