Workshop Assistant Job Description
Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Workshop Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our workshop. The Workshop Assistant will work closely with our team of technicians and craftsmen to ensure that the workshop runs smoothly and efficiently. The role involves assisting with various tasks, including preparing materials, maintaining tools and equipment, and assisting with project setup and completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the setup and preparation of tools, equipment, and materials for various projects.
Support technicians in assembling, repairing, or maintaining products or vehicles as required.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workshop, including storage areas, tool stations, and workspaces.
Assist in handling and storing materials safely according to company policies.
Monitor and maintain workshop inventory, reporting shortages or ordering new supplies as needed.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on workshop tools and equipment.
Assist in the preparation of equipment and materials for delivery or shipment.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Support the team with any other administrative or operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a workshop or similar environment is an advantage
Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and workshop procedures is preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects when required.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as required.
Working Conditions:
Full-time/Part-time role with [Mon-Fri: 8:00-17:00, Sat: 8:00-14:30]
Workshop environment, which may involve exposure to machinery and tools.
Safety equipment will be provided, and safety protocols must be adhered to.
