Description:
We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working woodworker to join our team making beautiful hardwood picture frames in our shop. We are looking for someone with some traditional woodworking skills as well as some HVLP spraying experience. We are willing to train the right person with the right previous experience.
Duties Include:
- Cutting moulding to length
- Joining frames using a variety of methods
- Sanding and preparing wood frames for finishing
- Applying a variety of stains, washes, and oils by hand
- HVLP spraying top-coats and whites (will train)
- Assist or complete miscellaneous special projects
- Daily 3S cleaning/organizing
- Utilize kanban system for relaying ordering needs
- Maintain standardized workspaces
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience building fine furniture, cabinetry, architectural woodwork, and/or picture frames
- Familiarity with common woodworking machinery (sander, table saw, band saw, router, etc.)
- Experience finishing, staining, and top-coating various woods
- Industrial or HVLP paint spraying experience a plus
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous art handling experience a plus
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Should have a car or access to a car
