Modern Pest is seeking a Wildlife Pest Control Technician to service our clients in Woburn, MA and the surrounding towns/cities.

How You’ll Spend Your Day:
- Upon successful completion of our paid training and onboarding program, you’ll have earned your state-specific licenses and be ready to work independently.
- Each morning, you’ll drive straight to your first client’s home or business, traveling to and from client locations in your company-owned vehicle along a pre-scheduled route.
- You’ll build and maintain client relationships, assessing the true extent of the infestation or pest-related damage, customizing and executing an effective and safe treatment plan, and offering education and preventative measures to avoid future pest issues.
- You’ll safely administer nuisance wildlife exclusion, trapping, and removal, as well as any necessary remediation services once the animal has been properly excluded.  In addition, this role will assist with bed bug heat remediation work.

In addition to other common household pests, you may encounter:
- Bats
- Raccoons
- Squirrels
- Skunks
- Groundhogs
- Flying Squirrels
- Birds
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time, year-round, benefit eligible.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, with rotating Saturdays as needed.
- Branch Location: This position will report directly to the Boston Branch located in Woburn, MA. Orientation and training will be conducted at the Woburn location.
- Work Location: This position requires travel in a company vehicle to our clients based in Woburn, MA and the surrounding towns and cities. To reduce unnecessary drive time and be as efficient as possible, following completion of Orientation and training, your route will be scheduled within a reasonable driving distance from your home location.
- Pay: Hourly pay rates start at $21 with transferable experience or skills. Higher rates are available for candidates with current licensing and/or pest management experience!
What Do I Need to Get Started?
- Clear 7-year background screen
- Clear 3-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- 4-panel drug screen (opioids, cocaine, PCP, and amphetamines)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required; must meet minimum age requirement of 21 years and/or possess a minimum of 3 years’ driving experience for insurance coverage purposes
- Must consent to driving company-owned vehicle equipped with front, internal, and rear dash cams; continuous recording is required by our insurance during operating hours for safety, liability protection, and driver training.
- Must pass all required state licensing exams to meet minimum qualifications by the completion of paid training.
- Must possess basic knowledge of home construction, framing, and/or roofing, as well as the carpentry skills necessary to perform basic home repair projects as required by the exclusion work.
- Must be comfortable working from a ladder, and/or environments requiring proper fall protection equipment.
- Must meet minimum conduct and attendance standards during 90-day Introductory Period.
