Position: WAREHOUSE MANAGER (STEEL) – (4783)
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, with a strong background in the steel industry (not negotiable).
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong understanding of steel materials, including the ability to identify and select steel sections based on requirements.
Experience in fleet management, with the ability to coordinate logistics and delivery schedules.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems and inventory control.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of steel materials.
Manage a fleet of vehicles to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Supervise and lead warehouse staff, ensuring all team members are performing to the company’s standards.
Ensure accurate inventory control and stock management.
Identify and select the appropriate steel sections for orders, maintaining a thorough understanding of different steel grades, sections, and types.
Maintain a high level of organization within the warehouse, ensuring that all products are stored safely and efficiently.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Coordinate with procurement, sales, and production departments to ensure materials are available and aligned with production schedules.
Manage and optimize warehouse space for efficient storage and handling of steel products.
Perform regular maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and ensure all machinery is in proper working order.
