Fabric Buyer/Warehouse Manager
POSITION INFO:
Westside Apparel Trading (Pty) Ltd is a well established design house based in Hammarsdale, working with chain stores on major brands. We are looking for the following persons : Fabric Buyer /Fabric Adminstrator As a buyer you will be responsible for the researching, developing, testing and purchasingof materials for the designers to work with in the design and manufacturing of garments. Duties /Responsiblities Purchasing of fabric and trims according to the fashion trends and requirements. Liasing with fabric mills Quality control on the fabric , trims purchased Communicating to the mills on issues with the fabric Communicating with overseas mills for imported fabrics Sourcing the best prices on trims and fabrics Qualifications Matric or Equivalent Expereince in the textile industry Product knowledge of Garment manufacturing processes Must be willing to travel Valid drivers license is advantageous Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel Salary : Market related + benefits WAREHOUSE MANAGER – FABRIC & GARMENTS Location: Hammarsdale, KZN *Duties:* – Manage fabric rolls, trims & finished garment stock – Lead warehouse team: picking, packing, dispatch – WMS/ERP, cycle counts & stock accuracy – OHS compliance & clean textile storage *Requirements:* – 3-5 yrs textile/garment warehouse exp, 2 yrs supervisory – Know fabrics, shade lots, SKU/size/colour control – Grade 12 min.
