Job Description
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for delivering medical supplies and equipment to the customer.
- Responsible for obtaining customer’s signature upon delivery of supplies or equipment.
- Responsible for obtaining serial numbers from the equipment and recording them.
- Trains customers on the use of equipment.
- Responsible for adequately assessing client’s residence to ensure safety issues are identified and addressed.
- Responsible for following HIPAA, Accreditation and OSHA regulations.
- Responsible for vehicle maintenance.
- Maintains and cleans equipment.
- Load trucks for delivery of equipment and supplies.
- Drive in a safe and responsible manner and obey all traffic laws.
- Responsible for obtaining lot numbers on oxygen tanks.
- Responsible for following the FDA regulations for manufacturing of drugs (transfilling of medical-grade oxygen.) Employee must follow current good manufacturing practices (CGMP) for processing, packing, or holding of a drug (oxygen) to assure that such a drug meets the requirements for identity, strength, quality and purity.
- Responsible for keeping delivery vehicles clean inside and out.
- Maintain housekeeping in your area.
- Work hour expectations are 40 hours weekly.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Responsible for working quietly and efficiently so as to not disturb other employees.
- Authorized to routinely use patient’s chart to obtain customers address, directions to their home for deliveries and on call emergencies.
- Computer security allows employee to access demographics only and denies access to unauthorized information.
- Must conduct oral discussions of PHI with other staff or with patients and family members in a manner that limits the possibility of inadvertent disclosures.
- Report suspected violations of policies and procedures of business associates and staff members to safeguard PHI.
- Responsible for safeguarding privacy of customers health information and adhere to all confidentiality regulations regarding customer’s information.
- Perform other related miscellaneous tasks/duties as assigned by management.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school education, GED certificate or 6 months experience and/or training in related field. Must attend continuing education classes as needed for computer updates, or other skills as requested by management.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate with customers and employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
