Our client is looking for a hands‑on, organised, and reliable Warehouse Chargehand to lead daily warehouse operations and support a high‑performing team. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and have strong warehouse experience, this role is for you!

What You Need

  • National Senior Certificate (NQF 4)
  • 1 year supervisory experience
  • 5 years’ warehouse experience (essential)
  • Feed industry experience (advantageous)
  • Valid Forklift License
  • MS Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Kairos, C‑Works, Pastel
  • Strong knowledge of storage & inventory management
  • Understanding of ISO 22000 regulations

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations:

  • Follow transfer processes as per SOP
  • Achieve warehouse targets & customer satisfaction
  • Oversee picking, scanning, loading & pallet stacking

Supervisory Duties:

  • Lead & support warehouse staff
  • Drive productivity & positive working relationships
  • Assist with staff performance development

Skills Development:

  • Ensure ongoing self‑development aligned with business needs

Health & Safety:

  • Maintain a clean, hazard‑free work area
  • Ensure emergency exits remain clear
  • Promote hygiene, safety & OHS compliance
  • Report unsafe conditions to HSE

Quality & Food Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with policies & procedures
  • Prevent & detect potential contaminants
  • Maintain cleaning & pest control programmes
  • Ensure traceability & effective recall processes
  • Support continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System

Brand Management & General Duties:

  • Represent the brand positively
  • Support colleagues & collaborate across departments
