Job Description
Our client seeking a technically proficient Electrical Tender & Project Manager to join our high-voltage manufacturing team. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technical engineering and commercial execution, overseeing the full lifecycle of high-voltage switchgear and breaker projects from the initial tender stage through to maintenance and site handover.
- Tender Management: Review client technical specifications, determine job scope, and prepare detailed commercial/technical proposals for HV/MV switchgear, generators, transformers, and protection scheme panels.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines (Gantt charts), resource allocation, and budget forecasting.
- Project Execution: Lead multidisciplinary teams to manufacture and install equipment on time and within budget.
- Maintenance Coordination: Manage service-level agreements and maintenance schedules for installed high-voltage assets.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal manufacturing departments.
Qualifications
- National Diploma or BTech in Electrical Engineering (Light or Heavy Current)
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or a course in JBCC/NEC contracts is highly advantageous
- Wireman’s License preferred for site-based maintenance work
Skills
- Minimum 5 years proven experience with High-Voltage (HV) or Medium-Voltage (MV) switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, generators, and protection schemes
- Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling tools
- A valid driver’s license
