Requirements
Be in possession of a degree or national diploma in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Stakeholder Engagement, Economics or Environment.
2 years experience in stakeholder engagement.
Comprehension of Public Relations, Media Relations, and Stakeholder Engagement Principles.
Exposure to the communication environment in the public sector and/or state-owned entity will be an added advantage.
Project management skills, computer literacy, and networking skills.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to manage and operate in a community environment.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and working with diverse stakeholders.
Adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of advocacy and stakeholder engagement solutions for Vision 2040 implementation.
Identify, analyse, and prioritize key stakeholders including community, government, NGOs, and private sector.
Develop and maintain a stakeholder database to track engagement activities.
Work with SANParks teams across the organisation to provide guidance and support as well as ensure collaboration.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including communities, government, civil society, and private sector.
Provide support and advice on stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and communication.
Disseminate target communication materials, including newsletters, reports, and presentations to promote Vision 2040.
Ensure appropriate ongoing engagements are maintained and led at the appropriate levels at all times.
Co-ordinate and facilitate stakeholder engagement events, workshops, and meetings.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in stakeholder engagement.
