As we continue to expand our content output, we are looking for a talented, reliable Video Editor to support our video production pipeline and help bring our content to life in a polished, professional, and engaging way.
About the Role
The Video Editor will be responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling YouTube-style and social media videos that align with our brand standards and hold audience attention. This role is ideal for someone who understands pacing, storytelling, and platform-specific best practices, and who enjoys working in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment.
You will work closely with our content and creative teams to ensure each video meets quality expectations, brand tone, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from provided raw footage
- Enhance videos with motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, B-roll, sound effects, and music as appropriate
- Ensure videos align with Agent Advisory’s branding, tone, and storytelling style
- Optimize pacing, cuts, and structure to maximize viewer retention and engagement
- Implement feedback and revisions efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Manage multiple projects and consistently meet assigned turnaround times and deadlines
- Organize project files and maintain a clean, efficient editing workflow
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 year of professional video editing experience
- Proven experience editing online video content, particularly for YouTube and social platforms
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or comparable editing software
- Solid understanding of YouTube and social video best practices, including pacing, hooks, and viewer retention
- Strong attention to detail with a creative eye for storytelling and flow
- Reliable communication skills and the ability to follow creative direction
- Excellent time management and ability to work independently
- Must be based in the South Africa
