About the opportunity
The Group is looking for a diligent and service-oriented Verification Agent to join its team through the YES for Youth programme.
The successful candidate will support the verification of bursary, learnership and youth employment applicants. The role involves communicating with applicants, reviewing supporting documentation, maintaining accurate information on the Group’s systems and ensuring that records remain complete and audit-ready.
Key responsibilities
- Contact applicants and guide them professionally through the verification process.
- Confirm that applicant information is accurate, complete and supported by the required documentation.
- Review and verify documents uploaded to the Group’s systems.
- Identify missing, incorrect or inconsistent information and follow up with applicants to resolve it.
- Approve verified documents in accordance with the Group’s processes and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with applicants, educational institutions and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Conduct post-payment follow-ups and maintain accurate tracking records.
- Schedule applicant interviews or surveys and follow up on outstanding documentation.
- Maintain complete, accurate and audit-ready records.
- Assist with internal and external audit preparation.
- Perform other related administrative duties assigned by management.
The position will be measured primarily on the timely completion of verification work, accuracy of information, compliance with required processes and the quality of applicant communication.
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- Good results in Mathematics and/or Science will be advantageous.
- Tertiary education will be advantageous.
- Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate in one or more South African local languages will be advantageous.
- Previous administrative, customer service, call-centre or document-verification experience will be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Ability to work daily from the Group’s offices in Boksburg.

This position is offered as a YES for Youth placement.
