Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of barrels
Operating the Forklift
Loading and off-loading of barrels
Physical filling and emptying of brandy barrels to/from maturation
Transfer and taking up of tanks
Assist with daily and weekly recon when needed
Preparing of samples for testing and/or Organoleptic assessment and classification
Assist in the monthly Bulk Stock Take process
Execution of daily tasks are done to correct company procedures and work instructions
Compliance with OHS Act standards
Effective Record keeping
Maintain cellar hygiene standards
Drawing and testing of production tank samples
Apply strict loss control
Active participation in TPM Level 1 team activities
Participate in effectiveproblem solving
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
Minimum Grade 12
1-3 Years relevant experience in afast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards will be advantageous
Willing and able to work extended hours (overtime) as and/or when required
A Valid Forklift license
A Valid Code 10 license
Willingness to perform ad hoc duties, including in other departments, when required
Must be a team player
Must be physically fit and healthy to cope with the physical demands of the position
Good interpersonal skills
Punctuality and attendance reliability
