A well-established and reputable law firm based in Randburg is seeking an experienced VAF Litigation Secretary with exposure to vehicle repossessions to join their dynamic legal team.
The successful candidate will have experience in Vehicle Asset Finance (VAF) litigation, strong administrative abilities, and the ability to manage a high-volume portfolio within a fast-paced legal environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12)
1–3 years’ experience as a VAF Litigation Secretary / Repossession Secretary
Experience handling vehicle repossession and collections matters
Knowledge and understanding of National Credit Act (NCA) procedures
Experience with Section 129 notices and related legal processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Legal Suite
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Professional, reliable, and client-focused approach
Key Responsibilities:
Opening, managing, and maintaining VAF litigation files
Processing vehicle repossession instructions from financial institutions
Drafting and preparing legal documents, notices, pleadings, and correspondence
Preparing and issuing Section 129 notices and other NCA-related documentation
Liaising with banks, clients, sheriffs, attorneys, and other legal stakeholders
Monitoring deadlines and ensuring compliance with legal procedures
Providing regular updates to clients regarding matter progress
Managing high-volume correspondence and administrative tasks
Maintaining accurate filing systems and document management
General VAF litigation and repossession administration
