Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Upholstery Cleaner to join our professional cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and restoring a variety of upholstered furniture, including sofas, chairs, and other fabric-covered items. Your expertise will ensure that clients receive high-quality service, leaving their furniture refreshed and hygienic. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Duties
- Utilize industrial cleaning equipment and hand tools to clean and restore upholstery surfaces effectively.
- Operate pressure washers and duct cleaning tools for specialized cleaning tasks.
- Apply appropriate cleaning agents and solutions while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture and cleaning supplies safely.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently to ensure safety during all cleaning procedures.
- Conduct outdoor work when necessary, including outdoor furniture or exterior fabric cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all equipment is properly stored after use.
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including the use of fire extinguishers when required.
- Assist with floor buffing and other related industrial cleaning tasks as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about services performed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial or commercial cleaning, including upholstery and outdoor work environments.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques, including pressure washing, duct cleaning, and floor buffing.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, cleaning equipment, and fire extinguishers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks efficiently.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to industrial cleaning operations.
- Experience with outdoor work environments is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer interactions.
