Key Responsibilities:
– Inspect and assess the condition of all upholstered furniture and fixtures On Board Cruise Ship
– Repair any damages or tears in upholstery using appropriate tools and materials
– Replace old or worn out upholstery with new materials
– Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets company standards
– Maintain inventory of materials and supplies needed for upholstery repairs
– Collaborate with other crew members and departments to ensure timely completion of repairs
– Uphold safety standards and procedures while working on board the ship
– Keep track of all work completed and maintain accurate records
– Provide recommendations for improvements to the upholstery department
Requirements:
– Minimum of 2 years experience as an Upholsterer
– Knowledge of different types of upholstery materials and their properties
– Ability to use and maintain upholstery tools and equipment
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
– Excellent time management and organizational skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
– Flexibility to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules
– Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
– Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to work in a safe manner
