Position: UI / UX Designer
Join a rapidly expanding Fin Tech solutions provider in Joburg, which is currently looking for a UI / UX Designer to join their team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the company’s software, ensuring it functions flawlessly and adapts to client needs. Your responsibilities include:
Conducting research, designing, implementing, documenting, and overseeing software programs.
Enhancing and rectifying existing designs.
The ideal candidate should have:
Previous experience as a junior UI / UX Engineer or similar role.
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Primary
Duties
:
Provide expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept to testing.
Participate in inception sessions and gather client requirements.
Design and implement functional requirements.
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to evaluate user requirements.
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and turn concepts into usable designs.
Ensure designs are kept up to date and aligned with development needs.
Research new technologies to improve the platform.
Document all work thoroughly using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Discord.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Identify and communicate obstacles to the team.
Promote teamwork and advocate for end-user needs.
Accept and seek design criticism gracefully.
Continuously improve personal skills.
Collaborate with architects and communicate roadmaps.
Mentor team members and ensure standards are maintained.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a UI / UX Engineer or similar role.
At least 2-3 years of experience.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and other design tools like XD, Sketch, Framer.
Strong CSS and Sass skills.
Knowledge of UI / UX architecture.
