Tutor for special needs – Internship Jobs in Cape Town, Western Cape at Centre for Play and Learning
The Centre for Play and Learning is a therapeutic Centre, offering intervention to learners who have a combination of social, communication and behavioural difficulties. The Centre offers a paid, two-year, full-time tutoring internship programme, in both one-to-one and small classroom environments, following successful completion of our initial training course.
The training course involves a week-long theoretical and practical introduction to the Centre’s methodology. Appropriate candidates will then carry out a further two-week practical training and assessment. Candidates that are successful in completing the theoretical and practical training will then go forward with commencing the two year internship.
Dynamic individuals, interested in pursuing a career in working with children with autism spectrum and related disorders are welcome to contact us. Candidates with experience will be prioritised.
Candidates training at the Centre include individuals who have completed or are completing an undergraduate degree in teaching or psychology.
