Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in the Durban Metropolitan Area. The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating company trucks to transport goods to and from client locations and company facilities. Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, following assigned routes and schedules, complying with all DOT regulations and company safety policies, and accurately completing delivery documentation. The role also involves loading and unloading cargo as required, securing loads, and communicating with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery. The Truck Driver will support the company’s logistical operations by maintaining a clean, well-kept vehicle and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong truck driving skills, including experience with Truck Driving and the safe operation of a Truck.
- Candidates should possess a valid Code 14 license and a solid understanding of DOT Regulations.
- Passport for international cross border routes with African locations
- Candidates should possess practical skills in loading, securing, and Unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
- Clean driving record and proven commitment to road safety and compliance.
- Ability to follow routes, schedules, and instructions, with good time-management skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and handling cargo.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if needed.
- Previous experience in logistics, freight, or commercial driving is an advantage.
