POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leading Destination Management company, is looking for an experienced Travel Specialist to design and coordinate exceptional travel experiences across Southern Africa. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the fast-paced world of inbound tourism, enjoys building relationships with international travel partners, and has a passion for showcasing the very best Southern Africa has to offer. From crafting bespoke itineraries to managing complex travel logistics, you'll be responsible for delivering seamless journeys while ensuring every detail is handled with precision and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Design, quote, and manage tailor-made travel itineraries throughout Southern Africa Coordinate end-to-end reservations, supplier confirmations, travel documentation, vouchers, and travel packs Build and maintain strong relationships with international travel agents, clients, suppliers, and tour guides Handle client queries, amendments, and travel emergencies while delivering exceptional customer service Manage invoicing, reconciliations, account queries, and margin control on client files Negotiate supplier rates and source new tourism experiences and products Maintain up-to-date destination knowledge across Southern Africa to provide expert travel advice Ensure all bookings are delivered accurately and within agreed service standards Minimum Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) Qualification in Travel & Tourism advantageous Minimum of 5 years' experience within the inbound tourism industry Proven experience working with international travellers and overseas travel agents Experience within a Destination Management Company (DMC), luxury travel, tour operations, or hospitality environment Tourplan experience is essential Proficient in Microsoft Office and travel reservation systems Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple itineraries simultaneously Who Will Thrive in This Role?
