At Uptime Crew, the role of Training Manager is a bridge between recruiting and training teams. The Training Manager is an integral partner in the Training Organization by implementing and executing training activities; and building employee expertise while ensuring they have great experience during their selection process and training.
Training & Facilitation
- Deliver instructor-led training (virtual or in-person)on DevOps tools.
- Lead hands-on labs, demos, and workshops that reinforce real-world best practices.
- Clearly explain containerization concepts to learners at various skill levels.
Curriculum Development
- Create training materials including slide decks, lab guides, assessments, and reference documentation.
- Continuously update content based on evolving container ecosystem standards and platform updates.
- Design beginner-to-advanced learning paths for developers, DevOps engineers, and platform teams.
Learner Support & Assessment
- Provide guidance, troubleshooting support, and coaching before, during, and after training sessions.
- Evaluate learner performance and offer constructive feedback.
- Gather participant insights and improve course structure based on feedback.
Collaboration & Organizational Enablement
- Partner with engineering, cloud, and DevOps teams to identify skill gaps and training requirements.
- Contribute to internal enablement initiatives such as onboarding, knowledge-sharing sessions, and internal certification programs.
- Recommend tools and resources to strengthen DevOps maturity across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Practical experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, technical training, or leading workshops.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering enterprise training or building formal curriculums.
- Familiarity with GitOps, service meshes (Istio, Linkerd), and cloud-native observability tools.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong facilitation and classroom management skills.
- Ability to break down complex concepts for diverse learning audiences.
- Passion for teaching and enabling others.
